Richard Berry – Architect
Richard Berry is a RIBA chartered architect with a passion for architecture and a talent for design that has enabled him to gain extensive and continuous experience across multiple sectors.
He has worked on a wide range of new-build, refurbishment and extension projects, varying in scales from; small interior refurbishments, bespoke residential, to more elaborate education buildings and large retail developments.
Specialising in the design of landmark developments, Richard has been engaged with multiple academy trusts and local authorities to deliver a new £8 million 80 place SEN school, a £7 million Arts Centre which was shortlisted for an RICS award, Sports Centre extension and series of primary school expansions and refurbishments. He was also key to the Albion Place development which won an RICS award.
Richards passion for education and further development of others has led him to become the chair of the Bowman Riley Academy scheme to train, develop and mentor our rising stars.
He has practical experience through all RIBA work stages including feasibility, bidding and funding support, concept design, planning drawings, detailed design, building control applications, construction, handover and experience dealing with complex planning applications.
Richard has developed a very particular toolset, gaining knowledge in computational and parametric design, BIM and augmented reality.
He enjoys visiting new places, flying drones and is always looking for that next adventure!
