CGG Office Refurbishment – West Sussex
Crawley, London
Bowman Riley was commissioned by geoscience company, CGG based in Crawley to refresh four wings of office accommodation and design the extension to the existing mezzanine level for up to 430 staff.
CGG needed their existing office space to be re-designed to accommodate the additional staff that had moved to this office from a separate building. The company also wanted their existing traditional call centre style of office layout improving and updating with a more contemporary style to reflect their business model.
A key driver was to improve staff interaction between the teams with as many communal spaces as possible and fewer offices for managers.
Appointed on a design and build basis, Bowman Riley has been providing all the designs and construction drawings working closely with the client and staff to create a working environment that all the stakeholders will be happy with.
A young, fresh environment has been created with significant breakout spaces and quirky features such as table tennis meeting rooms have been introduced. We have specified sit-stand desks for the benefit of staff health and wellbeing.
The layout has been designed to maximise all available space whilst introducing an interesting flow through the building. Arched walkways through the spaces and angled desks have broken up the room for different teams of staff. Space has been divided into communal informal meeting areas and booths.
