Pure Padel Tennis Clubs – Nationwide roll-out

Designing the next generation of padel venues

Bowman Riley is working with Pure Padel to deliver a growing network of premium indoor padel centres across the UK.

Appointed as lead architect, interior designer and principal designer, we support Pure Padel from early design through to delivery, adapting each venue to its location, building and operational requirements while maintaining a strong and recognisable customer experience.

Our portfolio includes three very different facilities in Darlington, Nottingham and Stockport, demonstrating our ability to transform existing buildings and new-build shells into high-quality sporting and social destinations.

Darlington

Pure Padel Darlington is a dedicated indoor facility featuring seven panoramic courts, high-specification lighting and a vibrant social area.

Designed as more than simply a place to play, the centre provides a flexible destination for casual games, competitive sport, corporate events and private functions. The design combines sporting performance with hospitality and social spaces to create an accessible and engaging environment.

Nottingham

In Nottingham, Bowman Riley transformed a disused 1920s bus depot into a distinctive indoor padel centre while retaining and celebrating the building’s industrial character.

The existing concrete floor required a specialist screed solution, while the barrel-vaulted roof and low structural beams presented further challenges. Working closely with the court supplier, we developed a layout accommodating seven courts within the existing building – three singles courts and four panoramic doubles courts.

A bar, café and pro shop complement the courts, while bespoke internal and external signage strengthens the venue’s identity and visibility.

Stockport

At Stockport, Bowman Riley was brought in during construction of a new-build industrial unit to transform the shell into a vibrant five-court padel centre.

The design maximised the number of courts within the available footprint while incorporating bespoke changing and toilet facilities. A bar and café provide a social hub, complemented by a mezzanine viewing gallery overlooking the courts.

Cost efficiency was a key consideration, with our supplier network used to achieve a premium look and feel while working within the client’s budget.

A scalable approach

Across the three venues, our work demonstrates a flexible and repeatable approach to delivering indoor padel facilities.

From adapting historic buildings to working within new-build industrial shells, we combine efficient planning, robust materials, strong interiors and distinctive branding to create venues that work for players, spectators and operators.

As Pure Padel continues its nationwide expansion, Bowman Riley is supporting the development of a consistent, high-quality experience across its growing portfolio.
