Nye Pickard – Architectural Assistant Part I
Nye Pickard joined Bowman Riley in 2026 as an Architectural Assistant Part I, based in the Skipton office, after completing his BA (Hons) in Architecture at Newcastle University in 2026.
He previously completed a 2-month summer placement with Bowman Riley in 2024, where he gained valuable practical experience across a range of projects.
During his studies, Nye’s university work often focused on the adaptive reuse of existing buildings, combining climate-conscious design with conservation strategies; his final-year project centred on the conversion of an existing mixed-use Victorian structure into a glassmaking facility. He looks forward to developing these interests and learning from the wealth of expertise at Bowman Riley across a wide range of industries.
In his free time, Nye enjoys sports, with experience playing rugby league at university, and a background in parkour. He is also interested in photography and film.
