Gerard Langley – Senior Forecourt Design Manager

Gerard Langley joined Bowman Riley in our Leeds office in 2022 as Senior Forecourt Design Manager. He brought with him several years of experience delivering projects in the commercial and energy sectors, as well as working on bespoke residential schemes. Gerard specialises in fuel forecourt projects for one of the UK’s largest fuel clients and also has experience supporting the delivery of large-scale electrical forecourts.

Working to APEA standards, Gerard holds a current SPA Safety Passport and has collaborated with specialist contractors such as Williams Southern, Fox Construction, and Gilbarco Veeder-Root.

He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2017 with a first-class honours degree in architectural technology.  During his time at university, he was shortlisted and received a national student award for his final year project from the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology (CIAT). Gerard gained hands-on experience in construction and the built environment through his work as a self-employed joiner, while also acquiring knowledge across the architectural, museum, and woodworking industries.

Gerard gained hands-on experience in construction and the built environment from working as a self-employed joiner. He has achieved site carpentry and joinery qualifications, broad knowledge, and work experience in the architectural, museum and woodworking industries.

He enjoys making handcrafted timber furniture in his free time and visiting National Trust and English Heritage sites. He also likes to walk, explore, and hopefully find a coffee shop in between. When travelling, he loves to sightsee and visit cities and their architecture.
