Maria Tayan – Senior Architectural Technologist

Maria Tayan joined the Leeds office as an experienced Architectural Technologist in 2025. With over 10 years of experience delivering projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, she enjoys bringing together design, technical, and construction teams to create practical, sustainable solutions that meet client expectations and keep projects running smoothly.
Her experience covers masterplan delivery, concept design, MMC timber frame, and sustainability, with involvement across all RIBA stages. Maria has contributed to major regeneration projects, including Sheffield’s Attercliffe Waterside and Kelham Central.
Maria’s background also includes structural engineering and planning, giving her a strong technical base that supports her design work. She loves design and enjoys working on projects centred around sustainability and regeneration.
Outside of work, Maria loves travelling to discover new cultures and is always on the lookout for inspiration she can bring into her projects. She is also passionate about staying active, whether long hikes or pushing herself in CrossFit competitions, and brings that same energy and focus into her work.
