Matthew Stubbs – Architect

Matthew Stubbs joined our team in Leeds in 2024 as an Architect.

Since he was 10 years old, he wanted to be an architect and studied at the University of the West of England in Bristol, Welsh School of Architecture and Bath University to achieve his ambition.

Starting his career in the South West in 2014, Matthew gained experience in working on healthcare retrofits supporting the NHS backlogs following Covid19, defence and student accommodation projects

He has specialised in the retail sector for the past two years, providing asset management services and delivering shell refurbishments across the North of England and Wales for one of the top five property companies in the UK.

Matthew is very interested in the creative reuse of buildings and would like to become Passive House accredited in the future.

Technically, he is proficient in BIM software and rendering.

During the last decade, Matthew supported two different charities, volunteering in South Africa and Kenya, assisting with food security projects, and working as a teacher’s assistant in a primary school.

In his spare time, Matthew likes to ski, play the guitar, paint acrylic on canvas, and photograph. He also loves DIY/renovation.  He is gutting and renovating a 1950s house in Rawdon and enjoys collecting and perfecting practical skills.
