Tommy Callender – Graduate Architectural Technologist

BA (Hons) Architecture

Tommy’s journey into architecture began in 2020 when he completed a year-long placement, based just outside Richmond in North Yorkshire. During this time, he gained hands-on experience within a busy architectural practice, developing an understanding of industry processes, technical drawing standards, and the software tools that would support his studies and future career.

In 2024, Tommy graduated from Leeds Beckett University and joined an architectural studio in Leeds, where he has spent the past two years. During this time, he has worked on a range of projects, mainly build-to-rent apartments, with a focus on enhancing ground-floor public spaces, which has strengthened his technical knowledge and design skills.

Outside of work, Tommy enjoys bouldering at local climbing gyms in Leeds and trips to nearby outdoor climbing crags. He is also a keen board game enthusiast with many hours of Catan under his belt.
