This time, we meet Tristan de Meester, who became part of the Bowman Riley team this year in 2026.
Can you describe Bowman Riley in 3 words?
Nurturing, driven, dynamic
What’s been your career highlight to date?
From co-founding a practice to working on a DIY SOS project as part of the architectural team, my career highlights are all the moments I’ve exceeded the client brief and received positive client feedback
Which of our values resonates the most with you and why?
Creativity – Everything we produce starts with the ability to create. It’s a fundamental form of expression and an innate capability we all share
Have you got any new personal goals for 2026?
This year I am aiming to gain Chartered Architectural Technologist status with CIAT, It’s long overdue!
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
I’m not someone who can spend all day on the beach, so it would have to be a cool city in Scandinavia. Stockholm and Copenhagen are both great (In summer)
What’s your favourite film?
I like a film with good cinematography, so anything from a director such as Denis Villeneuve, Robert Eggers or David Fincher. Films like Dune 2 or the Zodiac
Favourite song?
Too many to choose from! I’m an old soul when it comes to music so would be probably something from the 60s/70s.
Do you prefer dogs or cats?
When I moved out for good at 21, my mother insisted I take the family cats with me, so naturally, I became a dog person
A good night out or a mug of tea and a good film?
I would pick both. Enjoy a drink with friends at the pub but like a film on the couch with the family, not sure it’d be with a mug of tea though…
