Bowman Riley’s Big Charity Event 2025: Tackling All 214 Wainwright Peaks in 24 Hours
Sunday, September 21st, 2025, will mark an extraordinary day for the Bowman Riley team. Colleagues will come together to tackle all 214 Wainwright Peaks in 24 Hours, one of the most ambitious charity challenges in our company’s history.
In a bold and inspiring effort, small teams from across Bowman Riley will aim to complete all 36 Wainwright circular walks, covering all 214 peaks in the Lake District, within just 24 hours.
This event is more than just a physical challenge. It’s a heartfelt tribute to our dear colleague and friend, Steve McDonald, who sadly passed away in August 2025. In Steve’s memory, we are undertaking this epic journey to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK, supporting their mission to beat cancer for future generations.
A Challenge Like No Other
Wainwright’s famous walks are known for their beauty, scale, and complexity — and attempting all 214 peaks in a single day is no small feat. The team has spent months planning the logistics of the challenge, with groups assigned to different routes to ensure every peak is covered between sunrise and sunset.
It’s a powerful show of unity, determination, and collective spirit, reflecting the values that define Bowman Riley.
