This time, we meet Roy Wilson, who became part of the Bowman Riley team in 2006.

One big family
What’s been your career highlight to date?
Cambridge Road Estate a complex HRB project (250 residential units) during a period of significant legislative reform
Which of our values resonates the most with you and why?
Integrity – this underpins everything that we do
Have you got any new personal goals for 2026?
Building Safety Act upskilling and RIBA PD Assessment incl. HRBs was my focus in recent times. This must continue but I now intend to develop my AI knowledge and Sustainability knowledge too
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
There are quite a few places I really like in Greece and Turkey, but Whitby is my happy place
What’s your favourite film?
James Bond films, Goldeneye is a favourite with fond memories on the Nintendo 64 multiplayer computer game too
Favourite song?
Now it is ‘Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream’ when singing to my daughter Anna as she pretends to row along and walks around saying ‘row row row’
Do you prefer dogs or cats?
Cats – we adopted a ginger cat from next door called Lisa
A good night out or a mug of tea and a good film?
Night out, and I believe I was referred to as ‘Party Roy’. Virtually zero partying nowadays with my 15-month year old daughter!
