Acton Gardens Urban Village – London
Bowman Riley delivered the detailed design and coordinated the construction of Phase Eight at Acton Gardens, a key component of one of West London’s largest and most ambitious regeneration schemes for Countryside Partnerships.
Set within the wider award-winning Acton Gardens urban village, Phase Eight continues the transformation of the former South Acton Estate into a thriving mixed-tenure neighbourhood surrounded by leafy streets, landscaped spaces, and the vibrant communities of Chiswick, Gunnersbury, and Acton.
This latest phase introduces 334 new homes designed to foster a strong sense of place and community. The mix of accommodation includes one-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom maisonettes, and family houses, catering for a diverse range of residents. The tenure split includes private sale, shared ownership, 35.6% affordable rent, and 10% wheelchair-adaptable homes, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
The development provides amenities designed to enhance everyday life including an on-site medical centre and supermarket, nearby schools, nurseries, shops and restaurants, all connected by transport links. A blend of public, semi-private, and private outdoor spaces ensures opportunities for community interaction and personal retreat.
Appointed from RIBA Stage 4, our team collaborated closely with MEP and structural engineers using Revit to deliver a fully coordinated and buildable design. Phase Eight is a significant milestone in the ongoing http://cambridgeActon Gardens masterplan, a long-term regeneration project that continues to redefine modern urban living in West London, combining thoughtful architecture with a strong senshttp://cambridgee of community and belonging.
