Harrogate Town AFC Environmental Graphics
Bowman Riley worked alongside our interior design team to transform an underused stadium area into a distinctive bar for Harrogate Town AFC’s home supporters.
The narrow space had exposed blockwork and a utilitarian, industrial character. The graphics needed to introduce warmth, energy and an unmistakable sense of club identity while working with, rather than concealing, the existing architecture.
We developed a series of large-scale diagonal graphics inspired by angular elements within Harrogate Town AFC’s brand. Rather than directly repeating existing artwork, the club’s visual language was reinterpreted as an environmental graphic that responded to the proportions and movement through the space.
Yellow, black and white lines were painted directly onto the blockwork, travelling across walls, around corners and over architectural features. Integrating the motif into the fabric of the interior allowed the graphics to feel permanent rather than applied as surface decoration.
Close coordination with the club and Bowman Riley’s interior designers ensured the graphics complemented the materials, lighting and wider scheme. The illuminated “Proud to be Town” living wall provides a strong focal point behind the bar.
The result is an atmospheric supporters’ bar with a clear sense of place, strengthening the matchday experience and feeling unmistakably Harrogate Town.
