New Hampton by Hilton – Ashford Kent
Bowman Riley has been developing the design of a new 140-bedroom hotel in Ashford in Kent to meet the standards of the Hampton by Hilton brand.
Once Hampton by Hilton was confirmed as the operator, Bowman Riley was brought on board to amend the approved planning application to redesign the interiors to meet the brand standards of the operator. Our role has involved introducing an additional storey and increasing the overall building footprint.
We are working closely with the international Hilton brand to redesign the interior spaces throughout featuring a spacious five-storey entrance reception and atrium on the main corner of the building.
The new hotel forms part of a new commercial quarter masterplan in Ashford to regenerate brownfield land into a dynamic new main business hub in the town, next to the domestic and international railway stations.
Developed using the BIM software Revit, the design team are working collaboratively to achieve the efficient and smooth delivery of the scheme.
Modern methods of construction were considered for the project resulting in the decision to deliver the building using volumetric modular units.
Sustainability is a key consideration of the project with the intention to achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating.
