Cosmina Nita – Architect

BSc (Hons) MArch PG Dip RIBA ARB

Cosmina Nita is a recently qualified architect who joined Bowman Riley’s Heritage team in 2025 after completing her Part III with Merit.  She has a strong interest in conservation and is passionate about working on projects that protect and celebrate cultural assets.

She brings experience from working in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire, where she was involved in several community-led projects. These included the Shipley Sustainable Community Hub and the Shipley Health and Wellbeing Community Campus, both supported by approximately £3 million in Towns Fund investment. The projects involved major refurbishments and extensions, helping to expand services for the local community.

She studied Architecture and Environmental Design at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating with First Class Honours, and went on to complete her Master’s at Leeds Beckett University. During her studies, she worked as a Research Assistant at Project Office, supporting research into the value of live projects in architectural education.

Before her Master’s, Cosmina worked at BDP in Sheffield, where she contributed to a hospital masterplan in Fuzhou, China. This gave her early exposure to international collaboration and large-scale healthcare design.

Outside of work, she enjoys walking, visiting art galleries, and discovering new places and coffee shops. She also paints and sketches in her spare time and is known among friends for her homemade focaccia.

Originally from Romania, Cosmina moved to the UK in 2016 to pursue her architectural studies. She holds Autodesk Certified User qualifications in AutoCAD and Revit.
