World Mental Health Day 2025

World Mental Health Day 2025 takes place on 10 October.

At Bowman Riley, World Mental Health Day 2025 reminds us of the importance of good mental health and the need to prioritise and invest in it.

This year’s theme is ‘access to services – mental health in catastrophes and emergencies’.

The theme highlights the importance of protecting our mental health.

Below are some suggestions that we can all do to help support our own mental health.

  • 🧠 It’s okay to feel overwhelmed — and to ask for help.
  • 📱 Limit doomscrolling and take breaks from difficult news.
  • 💬 Encourage open conversations about how people are coping.
  • 🤝 Signpost access to mental health support and resources – we have our own mental first aiders –  Jo Grier, Joe Mills, and Karen Allison and offer our team access to a 24/7 helpline, which offers services like unlimited remote GP appointments, mental health support, physiotherapy and medical second opinions.
